PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 6, 2014) - VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW), the global leader in virtualization and cloud infrastructure, today announced the executive speaker lineup for the general sessions taking place at VMworld 2014 Europe.
Beginning Oct. 14, 2014, VMworld Europe will take place in Barcelona at the Fira Barcelona Gran Via, where more than 8,000 people are expected to be in attendance. The event will feature more than 300 unique breakout sessions from VMware and its partners and customers, providing attendees with key insights into the virtualization and cloud computing industry. Attendees will also have access to a wealth of technology partners, with more than 125 sponsors and exhibitors at the conference.
VMware executives will lead two general session presentations during the event:
On Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014 at 9 a.m. CEST, the event will kick off with a keynote presentation featuring VMware CEO Pat Gelsinger. Gelsinger will discuss strategies for competing and winning in todays dynamic business environment -- as old, rigid structures melt away and increasingly liquid businesses use technology in new and innovative ways to gain competitive advantage. The keynote presentation will include key announcements, discussions and demonstrations of VMwares software-defined approach and the combined power of its solution portfolio. On Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, starting at 9 a.m. CEST, VMware President and COO Carl Eschenbach and CTO Ben Fathi joined by a group of senior execs from various VMware business units will showcase the latest end-user computing, software-defined data center and hybrid cloud software solutions that are already making IT more capable, more accessible, more reliable -- and delivering real results for VMware customers.
