Next month's SVG Venue Summit Virtual Series is quickly approaching, and as the return to sports is heating up, this year's program is also filling up with notable topics and speakers. The two-day series will look into some of the newest structures being built, how professionals can continue to innovate in this new normal, and what's to come in the future. Ross Video will serve as the title sponsor for this year's event.

SVG VENUE SUMMIT: VIRTUAL SERIES AGENDA Wednesday, August 26

12:30 - 1:00 p.m.: Diamond in the Desert: A Look Inside Allegiant Stadium

When the Raiders left the Bay Area for Sin City, the NFL's newest stadium needed to be constructed. Prior to the first regular season game being played inside of its walls, members of the Las Vegas Raiders' video production team and Allegiant Stadium give a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the control room equipment and workflows.

1:00 - 1:30 p.m.: A Potentially New Normal: Systems Integrators Reimagine the Control Room

While a vaccine is still not readily available, in-venue employees must do what they can to stay safe and healthy. As sports make their gradual return, systems integrators weigh a handful of questions. What safety measures will be put in place? How will employees be dispersed in the era of social distancing? Will precautions like plexiglass dividers and protective masks be the new normal?

With a constant appetite for any form of content, these professionals changed roles by assisting other departments in their organization. What are some examples of material that was created during the initial shutdown? What remote production workflows were used during this process?

1:00 - 1:45 p.m.: Tech Focus: How the Current Pandemic Alters the In-Venue Fan Experience

With venues reopening without fans in the stands (or at least with heavily limited crowds), the role of gameday-production teams is going to evolve drastically. How will in-venue teams create a compelling in-venue atmosphere for players and broadcasters? Are artificial crowd noise and virtual spectator technologies a viable option for this new reality? How will IP and cloud-based workflows play a vital role?

Las Vegas isn't the only city with a new NFL venue. Shared between the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers, SoFi Stadium is set to become yet another crown jewel built in the Golden State. Capped off by The Oculus - a 70,000 sq. ft., double-sided structure that is now the largest videoboard in sports - members of the Rams' in-venue team give a detailed preview of what's expected in Year 1.
