OMNITEKS INNOVATIVE TEST AND MEASUREMENT SOLUTIONS AND DESIGN SERVICES ON DISPLAY AT IBC 05

Leading Test and Measurement manufacturer Omnitek will be showing its innovative Ultra 4K Tool Box as well as presenting its Design and Consultancy Services on stand 10.F30 at IBC 2015, taking place on 11-15 September at the RAI, Amsterdam,

The prime focus for the show is Omniteks Ultra 4K Tool Box, which has been shipping since June. The Ultra boasts features that analyse, generate and convert SD to 4K signals, with 4K60 over 12G-SDI support. Of particular interest is the range of Physical Layer measurement tools recently added to the Tool Boxs functionality. These world-first features offer Eye & Jitter analysis up to 12G-SDI, and include unique tools to ascertain sources of noise using the Ultras innovative Jitter Spectrum and Jitter Histogram displays.

Enhancements made to the Ultra for IBC 2015 include audio PPM, channel status displays and tone generation. The Ultra now also provides RVF full-raster support, enabling the playout and capture of active video and all blanking ancillary data to capture problem material or create custom ancillary test signals. In addition, the Hex View display now expands on the extremely useful Data View, Cable View and Zoom View features for even more precise sample/pixel-level interrogation. An ANC Watch display also provides ancillary packet presence detection to easily see which common and user-specified packets are in the incoming stream.

As well as the Ultra 4K Tool Box, Omnitek will be presenting its OTR and OTM products, which not only feature waveform monitoring capabilities but picture quality analysis, providing real-time video quality measurement between original and transmitted streams. Another impressive feature is Omniteks novel In-Service Lip-Sync delay measurement, used to determine A/V delay without the need for a dedicated test pattern or watermarking.

Omnitek will also be showcasing its upgraded OZ745 development platform, which now supports 4K UHD TV over 12G-SDI, offering an all-in-one solution for 4K video design. The OZ745 will be used to demonstrate the Warp Design Engine and OSVP Scalable Video Processer and associated Xilinx RTVE 3.1 reference design. Both IP blocks are available as part of Omniteks design services.

Visitors to Omniteks booth (10.F30) at IBC 2015 will be able to view the full Omnitek product range including a full comprehensive demonstration of the Ultra 4K Tool Box.
