New Mqhele wows The Wife' viewers but where is Nqoba?Wiseman has received a warm reception from fans of the hit Showmax series The Wife'. Some have expressed how they wish he was cast from S1.

The third and final season of The Wife premiered on Thursday 10 November and the first thing that people noticed was that the old Mqhele, played by Bonko Khoza has been changed.

The character is now being played by Uzalo s Wiseman Mncube, a character most fans believe he is already embodying. Some are however still sceptical and are wondering whether Bonko's shoes are too big to fill.

WISEMAN PLAYING MQHELE FROM THE BOOK The 5am club (as the viewers call themselves) is adjusting to the new Mqhele and some viewers have expressed that they wish that he was cast from the first season.

Even those that had left because of the storyline that had disappointed them have made a return.

Wiseman did his homework, read the book & is portraying that character I understood from reading the book, said @Esethu92491063.

Talking to Kaya 959, Wiseman said Mqhele is still dark and abusive, while Mbalenhle Mavimbela says they're in a deep into toxic love now.

Speaking about working with Mbalenhle, Wiseman says it has been nice. It's been an interesting journey between the two of us because we've known each other on Instagram and we would just compliment and show appreciation of each other's work .

We've always said that one day we will work together, God willing. So when it happened, it became a full circle moment. That in itself made it easy because we both wanted to work together, he said.

NQOBA A NO-SHOW Even though the first three episodes were released on Thursday, viewers could not help but notice that a certain hot-headed brother is nowhere to be seen.

There were speculations that the loud and table jumping brother, Nqoba did not return for the final season of The Wife but nothing was confirmed.

Rumours of Abdul Khoza's exit began in March when he posted a since-deleted cryptic message on his Instagram account bidding farewell to the role.

It's been an amazing journey with you all on #TheWifeShowmax. Thank you to the entire cast and crew for embracing me to the fullest. I shall miss you all and wish you a greater journey ahead. According to TshisaLIVE the star later nipped rumours of his exit in the bud and blamed it on the Zulu brothers' rival on the show the Majolas.
