Fourteen short films will compete in the international students of film in San Sebastian La XVI edici n del Encuentro, que se celebrar entre el 25 y el 29 de septiembre en el marco del Festival de Cine de San Sebasti n, acoger las clases magistrales de Raymond Depardon y Claudine Nougaret, Todd Haynes y Christine Vachon, Marine Francen, Nobuhiro Suwa y Jos Luis Torres Leiva, quien adem s presidir el jurado.
El XVI Encuentro Internacional de Estudiantes de Cine, que se celebrar del 25 al 29 de septiembre, en el marco de la 65 edici n del Festival de San Sebasti n, ha seleccionado, entre los 209 trabajos presentados por 110 escuelas de 45 pa ses, catorce cortometrajes procedentes de Alemania, Argentina, B lgica, Croacia, Espa a, Estados Unidos, Francia, Israel, M xico, Portugal, Rep blica Checa y Rusia.
El Encuentro, organizado por el Festival de San Sebasti n y Tabakalera Centro Internacional de Cultura Contempor nea, tiene como objetivo dar a conocer los trabajos de los alumnos de escuelas de cine de todo el mundo, la pr xima generaci n de cineastas. Este a o, la secci n crece en duraci n -a ade un d a m s, prolong ndose en cinco jornadas- y en ambici n, como una apuesta fuerte de sus organizadores y con un sugestivo programa de actividades, que acoger la visita de destacados profesionales de la industria cinematogr fica que presentan sus pel culas en San Sebasti n: Todd Haynes y Christine Vachon (Wonderstruck en Perlas), Raymond Depardon y Claudine Nougaret (12 jours / 12 Days en Zabaltegi-Tabakalera), Jos Luis Torres Leiva (El sue o de Ana en Zabaltegi-Tabakalera), Marine Francen (Le Semeur / The Sower en Nuev@s Director@s) y Nobuhiro Suwa (Le lion est mort ce soir / The Lion Sleeps Tonight en Secci n Oficial). El cineasta chileno ejercer , adem s, como presidente del Jurado del XVI Encuentro Internacional de Estudiantes de Cine.
Tanto las proyecciones de los cortometrajes seleccionados como las clases magistrales se desarrollar n en la sala de cine de Tabakalera. Las masterclasses, que incluir n proyecciones de los trabajos de los cineastas y conversaciones con el equipo de la pel cula, son sesiones reservadas a los estudiantes y a un n mero limitado de espectadores, que podr n inscribirse en la p gina web de Tabakalera, y acreditados del Festival, que acceder n a trav s de invitaciones, mientras que las entradas para los distintos pases de cortometrajes se podr n adquirir a trav s de los canales de venta habituales del Festival de San Sebasti n.
El Festival de San Sebasti n mantiene una apuesta editorial por los nuevos talentos en la que el Encuentro Internacional de Estudiantes de Cine es una de sus piedras angulares , ha comentado el director del Festival de San Sebasti n, Jos Luis Rebordinos.
La directora cultural de Tabakalera, Ane Rodr guez Armendariz, ha subrayado la importancia de que proyectos como este puedan desarrollarse en el marco de una cita como la del Festival y en el contexto de un centro como Tabakalera, cuyo proyecto cultural est firmemente comprometido con los/as nuevos/as creadores/as .
Un jurado compuesto por estudiantes, presidido por un profesor y seleccionado por Orona Fundazioa otorgar el Premio Orona dotado con 5.000 euros.
Adem s, un jurado espec fico, compuesto por los estudiantes de las escuelas participantes y presidido por el cineasta chileno Jos Luis Torres Leiva, decidir a qu realizador otorgar el Premio Panavision, que consiste en la cesi n de un equipamiento completo de una c mara RED Epic y lentes Primo est ndar para cuatro semanas de rodaje, o un cr dito de 10.000 euros para alquilar cualquier material Panavision.
