An Insider has revealed to Zimoja that Samukele Mkhize-Masindi (plays Khwezikazi Gasela on Skeem Saam) is pregnant with her first baby in real life.

This comes after Samukele got married to her husband (name unknown) in September in a private ceremony for family and friends.

Although Samukele got hitched first before getting pregnant, it seems her life is imitating that of her Skeem Saam character.

She has been wanting a baby for the longest time and she is so happy and I am happy for her the beautiful thing is that it happened in her marriage. Not to judge anyone, but she waited to get married first before having a child, the source told Zimoja.

The publication said Samukele's friend said ever since the actress and her businessman husband tied the knot this year during a traditional ceremony, she has been glowing.

Marriage has been so good to her. She deserves it, the friend says.

KHWEZI LEAVING SKEEM SAAM' ? Speaking to Zimoja, a colleague of Samukele's confirmed that the newly-wed is two or three months into her pregnancy.

She is a few months pregnant. She is not yet showing unless you look closely. Not many people know on set, said the friend who wished to remain anonymous.

The colleague also said that management at Skeem Saam is aware and they are working around her character who is heavily pregnant on screen.

It is still very tricky because her character's pregnancy is far, but she is about two or three months pregnant in real life. The writers, producers, and directors are still figuring out how they will include her pregnancy in the storyline, she said.

But I hope they keep her. She is a lovely girl and works really hard. She is a dedicated actress and it would be a loss for them to get rid of her because of the pregnancy, the colleague explained.

Zimoja could not get hold of Samukele and Skeem Saam for comment.
