La Cumbia 420, el nuevo g nero que combina sonidos de diferentes g neros Urbanos, surgi en Argentina hace algunos a os y sus escuchas no han parado de crecer en Spotify. Tal como lo define el productor y artista DT.Bilardo, es la nueva cumbia y se caracteriza por el ritmo para atr s. Es la fusi n entre distintos estilos de la calle en un solo g nero en donde cada uno pone su esencia. Es un estilo musical con alma de cumbia y reggaet n . No solo eso, sino que viene pisando fuerte en la m sica urbana bailable que es escuchada por el 50% de los j venes de hasta 25 a os en Spotify.
Seg n datos revelados por Spotify, las escuchas del g nero a nivel global crecieron un 590% desde el 2018. Actualmente existen m s de tres mil playlists de usuarios sobre Cumbia 420 y m s de 14.5 millones de playlists contienen al menos una canci n del g nero.
Los primeros ritmos de Cumbia 420 comenzaron a escucharse en 2014. En 2018, el lanzamiento del sencillo Uno M s Uno de L-Gante junto a Alan Gomez y El Franko Dj, crecieron exponencialmente las escuchas en Spotify. Junto a artistas como L-Gante, Perro Primo, Kaleb Di Masi, Tirri La Roca, emergentes como El Noba, El Mas Berraco, Anthony NM, y el productor DT.Bilardo, se convirtieron en algunos de los nombres que marcan la escena musical.
Para celebrar este g nero y compartir con los fans, Spotify lanz un documental junto a L-Gante que invita a los oyentes a un recorrido por su m sica, sus comienzos y aspiraciones de uno de los grandes protagonistas del g nero. En la intimidad de su hogar Eli n, destaca: La Cumbia 420 es un ritmo cumbiero actual, es mi g nero favorito, el que represento y al cual quiero que nunca se le pierda la esencia de la cumbia, del barrio y que la gente se sienta identificada. Adornamos el trap con cumbia, con drill franc s, con folclore. Es un g nero que es Cumbia 420, hacemos que suene con un poquito de sonido de otros g neros. Autodidacta desde chico, hoy con m s de 5.7 millones de oyentes mensuales, L-Gante se escucha en todos barrios, en la calle, y en las redes se agita el tema L-Gante RKT Papu DJ, L-Gante , que cuenta con cerca de 110 millones de escuchas en Spotify. Este tema describe en detalle el entretenimiento en los barrios marginales en pocas de pandemia con un sonido alegre y un ritmo pegadizo.
El artista alcanz su popularidad no solo en Argentina, sino tambi n en pa ses como M xico, Espa a, Chile y Uruguay. L-Gante: Bzrp Music Session con Bizarrap lleg a ocupar el puesto n mero 1 en el chart de Argentina y lleg al puesto n mero 119 en el puesto Global.
Hablando sobre las letras que caracterizan a la Cumbia 420, DT.Bilardo resalta que expresan realidades de distintos nichos, realidades distintas. Hay artistas que cantan al barrio, otros a las motos, a los autos, etc. A la Cumbia 420 la influencian la cumbia y el reggaet n es una parte esencial, como tambi n, aquellos g neros que identifican a una gran masa de gente, como por ejemplo, desde Tego Calder n hasta Damas Gratis, hay un abanico enorme. Por eso, siempre que se escucha Cumbia 420, se va a escuchar cumbia. Es decir, aunque sea un trap, vas a sentir que es cumbia, porque es una esencia que te hace mover .
De esta manera, la Cumbia 420 convive y se fusiona con diferentes g neros urbanos como Reggaet n, Trap o Drill, o tambi n con Corridos Tumbados. Referentes de diversos estilos mezclan su m sica y la transmiten del barrio pa el barrio , como lo destacan sus protagonistas. Artistas de Argentina y de diversos pa ses realizaron colaboraciones en canciones que recaen sobre el paraguas de la Cumbia 420, entre ellos: Fidel Nadal, Ecko, Damas Gratis, La Joaqui, Marcianeke, Homer El Mero Mero, Dillom, Nestor En Bloque, Roman El Original, John C, Kaydy Cain, Yubeili, Ovi, entre muchos otros.
