May 2025 was a month packed with events that captivated viewers, from the presidential campaign in Poland to the international Eurovision Song Contest. It's no surprise, then, that Polish viewers spent an average of 3 hours and 50 minutes daily in front of their TV screens, precisely the same amount as in April 2025. However, compared to May of the previous year, this marked a significant increase of 18 minutes per day on average (up from 3 hours and 32 minutes).
In traditional television, the Eurovision Song Contest broadcast, the Polish series M jak mi o , and the festival Sopocki Hit Kabaretowy - Id na ca o garnered the most viewers' attention. Among the top 10 programs were also the presidential debates broadcasts, held on May 9th and 12th. The most-watched TV stations were TVP1, Republika, and Polsat.
Streaming's share of total TV screen viewership reached 9.4%, a 0.1% increase compared to April 2025. YouTube maintained its leading position with a 2.2% share, while Netflix saw growth, reaching 1.7% of total TV screen viewership. Additionally, services like Player and Canal+ also experienced an increase, contributing to the overall rise in streaming's share of total viewership.

About The Gauge MethodologyThe data comes from Nielsen's single-source panel consisting of 3,500 households and almost 9,700 panelists. The Gauge : Poland is based on monthly AMR (Average Minute Rating) audience share data. The data is presented for people over 4 years old, broken down into cable, satellite, terrestrial television (both linear and shifted in time up to 7 days), and viewership from streaming (live streaming viewership of TV stations on OTT platforms is classified as streaming viewership). The Other category includes views of unrecognized content.
