Daktronics Installs New LED Displays at Yankee Stadium

Daktronics has installed new LED displays at Yankee Stadium, upgrading the main centerfield board, two flanking boards, and two ribbon displays spanning the 200 and 300 Level fascia. Total Daktronics display area at the stadium now stands at 22,355 square feet.

These improvements will elevate the Stadium experience for our guests, and we are excited for them to enjoy our video presentation throughout the season.

Main Centerfield Display

The main centerfield display remains 59 feet high by 100 feet wide and now features 8mm pixel spacing, upgraded from the previous display. It supports variable content zoning for live video, replays, graphics, animation, statistics, and sponsorship messaging.

We've worked with the New York Yankees over the years on multiple LED display project upgrades, and we're proud their organization has trusted us to continue working with them on this latest installation, Parker adds.

Additional Displays

The left-field and right-field flanking boards remain 24 feet high by 59 feet wide and now feature 8mm pixel spacing. The ribbon displays along the 200 and 300 Level fascia now feature 10mm pixel spacing, with additional paneling added to the 200 Level fascia. The 200 Level ribbon totals 614 feet in width; the 300 Level ribbon retains its 1,060-foot-wide expanse.

Spring Training

As part of the project, the Yankees also upgraded the main video board at George M. Steinbrenner Field, the spring training home of the club and regular season home of the Single-A Tampa Tarpons. The upgrade uses Daktronics' RENEW product, which fits the existing metal structure with new modules, internal components, and control features. Pixel spacing improves from 15mm to 10mm.
