FevercheckerPro is a professional temperature testing station with face mask detection and face recognition facilities providing a fever firewall for protection against COVID-19.
FevercheckerPro is completely contactless and works unattended, automatically taking a person's temperature in less than a second.It is an ideal part of a company's PPE and can store the check for traceability whilst simultaneously being able to email it to HR or Health and Safety, for example. There are email, audio and visual alerts if a person has an excessive,
fever level temperature and the same can be done as a polite reminder if the person is not wearing a mask. In situations where a production needs to restrict access based upon temperature, mask or personal authorisation, FeverCheckerPro can be used to open an electronic door, gate or turnstile, for example.
Fever is a primary indicator of Covid-19 symptoms
Since high body temperature is the primary indicator of COVID-19 symptoms, in 88% of cases, being able to check body temperature is vital in the fight to detect COVID-19 and avert the spread of the virus. Lateral Flow Tests are also a useful indicator of the presence of COVID-19 and work well with 48% accuracy in most cases. FevercheckerPro can be used literally anywhere, as it does not require any special set up or facilities unlike LFTs and as the temperature test results are instant, people can carry on as normal' rather than having to go to a prescribed area to test and then isolate while they wait 13-30 minutes for results as is the case with LFTs. Furthermore, FevercheckerPro can do a virtually unlimited amount of checks every day, 24/7, as it does not relay on the availability of testing kits, swabs, etc so you never run out of temperature or mask checking capacity.It should be stressed that it is complementary to COVID-19 testing as it is a rapid, pre-screening system with a statistical accuracy of 88% whereas, by comparison LFTs have +48% accuracy for symptomatic COVID-19. It is not a substitute for COVID-19 testing but a good alternative method of checking when compared to rapid LFTs. For higher levels of COVID-19 test accuracy PCR test are required and these give +93% accuracy and results from a lab in approx. 24 hours.
Frequent testing is better for detection
For the highest levels of efficacy, it is recommended to test multiple times each day, preferably four times per day. The raison d'etre is that a test' is only a momentary snapshot' and it is quite possible for someone to contract the COVID-19 virus even one or two minutes after temperature, LFT or PCR testing.It is clearly not feasible to do continuous real time testing but it is simple enough to walk up to a FevercheckerPro say four times a day to instantly check in the moment'.Each moment' is data and an indicator of health and if a person's temperature continuously rises over say a nine hour period it is an indication that they have the onset of an illness with the likely outcome of a fever which may or may not, be related to COVID-19, however is likely to require a medical assessment.
Practical, deployable and accurate
For productions it is feasible for people to walk up to a FevercheckerPro upon arrival, during breaks and at the end of the day, thus contributing to achieving a rigorous protection system. It is reassuring that the technology will automatically detect and alert of a high temperature so that the need for isolation can be identified at the earliest opportunity, helping to prevent contagion to staff, crew or actors.
