France T l visions takes 10th MatrixStore cluster to the Archipelago of Mayotte

Cardiff, 19th October 2015. Object Matrix, the leading provider of object based nearline storage to the media and entertainment industries today announces that the France T l visions group (French public television network) has ordered its 10th MatrixStore cluster to protect file based content on the islands of Mayotte, a French Department, located in the Indian Ocean.

Since 2012 Object Matrix has been a trusted storage partner of France T l visions supplying nearline object storage in multiple locations and satisfying multiple workflow requirements.

Working with Object Matrix, since 2012, has created a progressive and collaborative relationship that has provided integrated storage platforms that have worked as we need them to and as promised, stated Erwan Roth, Deputy Technical Director. Adding the 10th MatrixStore cluster to our global infrastructure is a direct result of working closely with the Object Matrix and IVORY teams to provide storage and workflow solutions that meet our specific needs he added.

Updating the infrastructure at the remote locations is a complex process, given that a number of the stations broadcast content that is both locally produced and content that is delivered from central operations near Paris, in Malakoff. Fast access, high data security, excellent value for money, and ease of deployment are among the main advantages of deploying the Object Matrix solution in such environments.
