HMS wins the prestigeous Electronic company of the year award!

HMS Industrial Networks has been awarded by the newspaper Elektronik i Norden, the Electronic Industry Association and the IM-association for Instrumentation and Measurement technology to the best Electronic company in Sweden 2003.
More than 200 000 of the Companys patented Anybus products have been shipped and can be found in automation systems all over the world.
- An ideal example! HMS Industrial Networks is a very worthy winner of the Electronic Price. Both founders have from the start been clear that their company should grow in the pace and proportion that was allowed by the success of their products. The result of their commitment is that a graduation project from University has turned into a international company with revenues of 13 million EURO. We should have more of this kind of electronic entrepreneurs, says Thore Rsnes, editorial writer at Elektronik i Norden.
The criterion for the prize is ?a successful commercialization of a Swedish high tech product?. The jury selects the company with the best balance between advanced technology and the possibilities for continued profitable growth.

HMS Industrial Networks, that provide reliable and flexible solutions to connect industrial products to networks, took the 5th position on the Marathon list of the fastest growing companies in Sweden. With its average growth rate of 53% per year, HMS is the company with the highest growth rate of all manufacturing companies in Sweden during the past ten-year period. The Marathon list is presented by Svenska Dagbladet in co-operation with Ahrens Rapid Growth consultants.

HMS Industrial Networks is among the leaders in the world in industrial network technology according to Frost & Sullivan Industrial Fieldbus and Ethernet market study. The companys patented AnyBus network cards are used as embedded systems in products from many of the worlds leading automation companies. The company started on a graduation project from the University of Halmstad and has a sales turnover of 115 MSEK, from which 90% is exported. The mother company HMS Networks AB is owned by founders, employees and the venture capital funds IDI & SEB Fretagsinvest.
About the Award:
The Electronic company of the Year is selected by a jury with members from the Swedish Electronic Industry Association, the IM-association for instrumentation and measurement technology and by the newspaper Elektronik i Norden. Among earlier prizewinners are many of Swedens most successful electronic companies e.g Axis, Hemocue, Micronic Laser Systems, Mydata and Sectra. The aim of the electronic prize is to reward companies, that do not only have a brilliant technical idea as base for their products, but also have shown a good financial development and have a base for continued growth.
