Four multi-part factual series created for newly launched Audio Shows from Audible UK
First podcast content ever produced by ITN Productions
ITN Productions has produced four original factual podcast series for Audible as part of their new UK specific Audio Shows offering. This is the first time that the award-winning production company has produced audio-only content. Two series, The Dark Web and Real Crime, went live when Audio Shows launched earlier this month with two further series, When The World Listened and Sounds of War, to be made available later this year.
Investigative 10-part series The Dark Web is fronted by former Channel 4 News technology correspondent Geoff White. Each roughly 25 minute episode sees him explore criminal activity ranging from sex trafficking and fraud to government secrets and anonymous hacking groups. Real Crime sees Britain's most chilling crimes are brought sensationally to life in this compelling new series, using court room transcripts, police interviews, 999 calls, secret audio recordings and eye witness testimonies.
Geoff White said: Having covered the dark web for more than six years, I thought I'd seen it all. But making this series has revealed a deeper, more shocking story. From its bizarre origins in the US Navy's research lab, to its role in gun-running, drug-dealing and freedom-fighting, the dark web is at heart a unique social experiment that asks one basic question: given the choice, will humanity choose good over evil?
