Four GoPro Athletes to Watch at X Games Minneapolis

For the second year in a row, athletes are back in Minneapolis for a jam-packed schedule of competition July 18-22. This year, we're excited to be supporting not one, but four GoPro athletes. From skateboard star Leticia Bufoni to Moto X's most decorated athlete, Nate Adams, we know we're in for a weekend of epic proportion. Before getting lost in the comp, we're taking the time to introduce you to GoPro's four competing athletes.

Leticia Bufoni: The four-time X games gold medalist, Leticia is one of the most well-known skateboarders in the world. Coming from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Leticia has been living in California since she was a teenager to pursue her passion. She is entering Minneapolis following a gold medal at X Games Norway. Leticia competes on July 21.

Alex Sorgente: Coming off of a Skateboard Park gold medal in 2017, Alex Sorgente is back in Minneapolis looking to defend his win. Growing up in a small town in Florida, he found skateboarding and instantly picked it up. With dreams of moving to Indonesia to surf an skate. Sorgente is going into these games focused solely on snagging another X Games gold. Alex competes on July 20.

Drew Bezanson: It's been a long road for Bezanson following a torn ACL in 2017, but he says he's focused and ready to be back in Minneapolis this year. As his first event of the year, Drew says he's spent the last few weeks training on and off the bike to prep for X Games Minneapolis. With the help of his GoPro, Alex says he's been able to film and review new tricks easily on the camera, allowing him to make adjustments on the fly. Drew competes on July 22.

Nate Adams: With a total of 19 X Games medals, Nate Adams is the most decorated Moto X athlete in X Games history. Born in Phoenix, AZ, Nate started riding when he was 8 years old and skyrocketed his career by winning the Freestyle Motocross World Championship in 2002. Since then, Adams has continue racking up awards from Dew Tour to Red Bull's X-Fighters. While Nate told GoPro that becoming a dad of two has been the best thing I've ever done, Nate took to Instagram to talk X Games prep. So much work and prep goes into being ready for X Games. It's more than just another competition. For many of us action sports athletes, it's the single most important day of the year. Nate competes on July 21.
