As the most-listened-to Brazilian artist ever on Spotify, and the first to reach 10 billion streams, the late Mar lia Mendon a is a revered figure across the nation. Known as the queen of suffering for her soulful brand of m sica sertaneja-a popular genre of Brazilian country music-her powerful voice and emotional storytelling resonated deeply with millions of listeners and ushered in a new era for women artists in Brazil. But her reign was tragically cut short in 2021 when she died in a plane crash at the age of 26.
To honor her legacy, Spotify is bringing together thousands of fans and some of the country's biggest stars for This Is Mar lia Mendon a, our biggest concert event to date worldwide. On October 5, Alok, J o, LUDMILLA, Lu sa Sonza, Luiza Martins, Murilo Huff, P ricles, Xam , Yasmin Santos, and Z Neto & Cristiano will take the stage at S o Paulo's Allianz Parque stadium to celebrate the beloved singer-songwriter and perform her music. The show will be open to the public, and fans who want to experience this special performance can register here to receive a notification when tickets go on sale August 6. Presale for registrants opens August 5.

Spotify is also proud to unveil our Mar lia Mendon a hub. The hub features a collection of playlists for fans, including her greatest hits and her most popular compositions as a songwriter, as well as a shelf of themed playlists, such as Mar lia Romance. Fans can also check out playlists dedicated to each of the performing artists, featuring their biggest and most essential releases. Last but not least, fans will find a selection of podcast episodes and interviews that revisit the legendary artist's life and music.
In the weeks leading up to the concert, Spotify will also celebrate Mar lia's legacy with a special slate of activities and experiences across Brazil, from the streets to the airwaves and beyond.
