EPL: Manchester United vs Everton team news, preview and kick-off time

Manchester United face Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday from the unusual position of looking up at their visitors in the Premier League table.

The north west pair are feeling decidedly different about their starts to the new EPL campaign.

United are scrabbling desperately for form and consistency, with just one win in their last four.

That came in thrilling fashion, as supersub Alexis Sanchez sealed a heart-stopping 3-2 comeback win over lowly Newcastle in front of the Stretford End.

But they suffered a sucker-punch in their last outing, as Jose Mourinho returned to former club Chelsea.

Anthony Martial had struck twice as the Red Devils sparked into life after half time to turn around a one-goal deficit.

But Ross Barkley popped up with a 96th-minute leveler to leave United loitering in tenth in the early Premier League running.

The Toffees have really got their act together in recent weeks, stringing together three EPL wins on the bounce.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun both scored late on last Sunday as Silva's side defied the stats to see off Crystal Palace 2-0 at Goodison Park.

It was the perfect back-up to wins over Leicester and Fulham, which have propelled Silva's men up the Premier League table.

Thoughts of a return to European football can wait for a little while yet, with the short trip to Old Trafford a big opportunity to increase the angst for Mourinho and Co.
