San Francisco, September 16, 2013-WideOrbit Inc., the leading provider of advertising management software for media companies, is pleased to announce that more than 1,000 radio stations are operating on WO Traffic, the company's leading advertising sales, traffic and billing solution.
WO Traffic is the backbone of a radio station. WO Traffic manages advertising sales order entry, through to revenue and inventory management, accounting and credit management, invoicing, payments, reconciliation and reporting. A scalable, enterprise-wide system, WO Traffic allows broadcasters to manage multiple stations, markets and groups from a single system and delivers extraordinary visibility and control at all levels of a radio broadcast business.
WO Traffic for Radio was first commercially installed in March 2004. Entercom Communications became an early adopter partner and was the first radio station to go live on a WO Traffic system specifically customized for radio in December 2005. Today, Entercom has more than 100 stations in 23 markets live on an integrated WideOrbit solution that includes WO Traffic, WO CRM, a comprehensive account management system and WO Analytics, a dynamic, turnkey, business analytics solution.
We chose WideOrbit for a number of reasons back in 2005. One of their strengths was their Sales Management approval and reporting abilities, said John Graefe, Vice President of Information Technology at Entercom Communications. WideOrbit has been a great partner in listening to our feedback and working with us in developing to our needs. Consolidating all of our stations in one database has really put us in a position to take advantage of corporate reporting and analytical tools.
By the end of 2008, nearly 400 radio stations were operating on WO Traffic, including 46 stations owned and operated by Midwest Communications, a leading radio broadcasting company based in Wausau, Wisconsin. Today, Midwest has 62 radio stations that span 14 markets across the U.S. live on an integrated solution of WO Traffic and WO Automation for Radio, WideOrbit's leading radio automation system. In addition, Midwest is currently installing WO Media Sales, WideOrbit's comprehensive sales management solution, across all of its stations.

Salem Communications, a leading radio broadcaster headquartered in Camarillo, California, owns and operates 99 radio stations, with 61 stations in the nation's top 25 markets, and 29 in the top 10. Salem has been a client since May 2012 and one of its Detroit stations was the 1,000th station to go live on WO Traffic.
