The Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced their second album of 2022, Return of the Dream Canteen'.

Following the release of their album, Unlimited Love earlier this year, Grammy award-wining rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers announced their second album release of the year, Return of the Dream Canteen. According to Variety, the Californication hitmakers announced the release during a performance in Denver, Colorado on Saturday 23 July.

UNLIMITED LOVE' Unlimited Love marked Red Hot Chili Peppers' first album release since 2016. The 17-track album released in April features fan-favourite, Black Summer, which was nominated for an MTV Video Music Award (MTV VMA).

The album also marked the return of guitarist John Frusciante, who left the band for more than a decade but returned in 2019. Unlimited Love scored the band their first number one album since their 2006 release, Stadium Arcadium.

Music reviewers, NME, rated the album four out of five stars, praising the band for sounding sure of themselves .

RETURN OF THE DREAM CANTEEN' As per Variety, Red Hot Chili Peppers announced their upcoming album, Return of the Dream Canteen during the Denver leg of their Unlimited Love tour.

The band's frontman, Anthony Kiedis, said: It's f*cking good news, man. Do you have a single in mind?

The single might be called Tippa My Tongue. I don't know for sure.
