Kiernan AKA Forbes, who was shot dead in February this year, has received six nominations for the Metro FM Music Awards 2023.

The late rapper has been nominated for Best Hip Hop Artist for his album Mass Country, Best Male and Artist of the Year.

His hit song Lemons (Lemonade) featuring Nasty C scored him three nominations including Best Music Video, Best Collaboration Song and Song of the Year.

AKA was shot dead outside a restaurant on Florida Road in Durban on 10 February.

His murder still under investigation and the murderers are yet to be caught.

The awards are set to take place on Saturday, 6 May at the Mbombela Stadium in Mbombela, Mpumalanga.
