The Europe 1 Train for the 2014 Municipal Elections: 3,500 visitors after just six station stops! Cyril Hanouna, Jean-Marc Morandini, Franck Ferrand and Helena Morna are all aboard

The Europe 1 Train for the 2014 Municipal Elections has already hosted more than 3,500 visitors, of which 900 were specifically on hand to participate in the broadcasts. On the heels of this success, additional broadcasts will be recorded on board the Train at upcoming stops.

To mark France's municipal elections, set for 23 and 30 March, Europe 1 joined forces with the SNCF and SFR to introduce the Europe 1 Train for the 2014 Municipal Elections, which debuted on 2 February. Two live broadcasts are being recorded each week in front of an audience gathered aboard the Europe 1 Train: Europe 1 Midi and Europe 1 Soir, presented by Wendy Bouchard and Nicolas Poincar respectively. Their guests for these events, held in a train car that's been remodelled to house a studio, are the principal candidates in the municipal elections, both current officeholders and their electoral opponents. It's been standing room only on the train for these debates, which have seen some heated exchanges.

In addition, Jacky Gallois plays host at each stop to more than 500 schoolchildren, who learn about career opportunities in the radio industry. These students have had the chance to experience radio firsthand by presenting reports and weather updates, and they get to keep a recording of their performance as a souvenir.

Encouraged by this success, Europe 1 has decided to broadcast additional shows from the Train. Jean-Marc Morandini, Cyril Hanouna, Franck Ferrand and Helena Morna will be presenting one or two live broadcasts, open to the public, at the Train's upcoming stops. Following previous stops at Reims, Lorient, Nantes, Boulogne-sur-Mer, H nin Beaumont and Strasbourg, the nine cars of the Europe 1 Train for the 2014 Municipal Elections will be continuing their tour of France:

By journey's end, the Europe 1 Train for the 2014 Municipal Elections, whose trip was made possible by Trains Expo (a subsidiary of the SNCF), will have travelled a total of 4,612 kilometres to meet with members of the French public.
