Miranda Technologies, a Belden Brand, a global provider of integrated solutions for production, playout and delivery systems for television broadcasters and multi-system operators, has collaborated with never.no, a leader in Social TV solutions, to offer a seamless integration between Miranda's Vertigo XG broadcast graphics platform with never.no's Social TV product Story.
The collaboration enables broadcasters to enhance broadcast graphics technology with the power of Social TV and viewer interactivity. never.no's new Social TV platform, Story, provides the back-end and moderation technology required to manage social content such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram data and incorporate it into templates created by Miranda's renowned graphics technology which then brings it to air.
The Vertigo XG on-air graphics system is a highly advanced HD/SD graphics processor that supplies high quality character generation, multi-level playout and powerful performance. Templates for rich and highly animated, social media and channel branding graphics can be very quickly prepared, the advantages of which never.no will exploit to further enliven the social media content that its platform delivers for its clients.
Story, is designed for news, entertainment and sports producers tasked with creating the social segments for today's events. Story's easy-to-use visual interface allows content producers to intuitively gather, manage and publish social content on air. Story can be used to effortlessly aggregate user-generated and geolocated content from social media sites including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram directly into programming and advertising, as well as being able to drive companion apps that enable viewers to interact with their televisions and adverts using an iPad, tablet, PC, or smartphone.
