Ke Huy Quan has officially made Oscar History by being the second Asian actor to win the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in Everything Everywhere All at Once. The record was set by Cambodian American Actor Haing S Ngor who took home the award for his role in The Killing Fields in 1984.

Ke Huy Quan makes history this award season The actor beat out a list of fellow actors such as Judd Hirsh (The Fabelmans), Brian Tyree Henry (Causeway) and the duo of Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan (The Banshees of Inisherin) as reported here.

Ke Huy Quan has had a successful run this awards season for his portrayal of Waymond Wang, the male lead of the film alongside Michelle Yeoh. The number of awards he has won for his role include a Screen Actor Guild Award, A Critics Choice Award and a Golden Globe Award in the same category The actor moved the audience with his emotional speech where he described his humble beginnings:
