Wheatstone announces worldwide distribution for new acquisition VoxPro

NEW BERN, NC, USA (October 21, 2015) Just days following the acquisition of the industry's beloved VoxPro digital audio recorder and editor, Wheatstone now announces a new worldwide distribution network for its newest addition.

Media Engineering in Weiningen, Switzerland, will be the first to distribute and support the VoxPro product under the new network.

This is a one-of-a-kind product that you just can't find anywhere else. It's built to solve the universal problems typical of broadcast applications for example, editing live phone calls on the spot, says Markus Stocker of Media Engineering, which designs and installs complete studio build-outs.

Exceptionally nimble for live and on-air use, VoxPro is also used in production suites. VoxPro is a PC based software program with control panel surface that provides one-touch recording and features like an easy-to-use jog wheel and scrub keys for quick editing. It digitally records and edits on two tracks, and imports and exports all the popular file formats (M4A, MP3, MP2, WAV, AIFF and WMA) individually or in groups, which can be passed on to most commercial audio editors found in large live or production suites.

VoxPro adds an affordable, capable digital recording and audio editor to Media Engineering's line, which includes Prodys audio codecs, Davicom monitoring and WheatNet-IP audio network and console systems.

The digital recorder and editor, which Wheatstone acquired from Audion Labs on October 5, is a staple in radio studios in the U.S. and is now being introduced for the first time into many worldwide markets through Wheatstone's global distribution network.

VoxPro adds to Wheatstone's large family of broadcast products that include Vorsis and Audioarts Engineering brand names, as well as WheatNet-IP audio networking, control surfaces, talent stations, audio processing, software applications, and other products developed and designed specifically for broadcast.

VoxPro can be integrated into the WheatNet-IP audio network environment for online sharing, editing and archiving of audio.
