Peter Gl ttli has been promoted to head up Riedel Communication's research and development team.
Reporting to founder and CEO Thomas Riedel, Gl ttli will assume responsibility for Riedel's five main development hubs, aiming to advance the company's IP-enabled hardware and software solutions.
Before moving into his new role, Gl ttli was head of R&D in Riedel's Zurich location, where he led teams in Switzerland and Germany to develop advanced audio engine technologies.
Ongoing research and development are absolutely crucial for us to build and secure our company's future, and this vital function is in great hands with Peter. In this leadership position, he will apply his deep experience and expertise in the development of audio and video solutions to help keep Riedel on the cutting edge of innovation in our various markets, said Riedel. With Peter's promotion, he will now lead a significant concentration of engineering talent with a singular focus on creating the hardware and software solutions to drive future broadcast, event, and AV workflows. We thank Peter for taking on this challenging task.
Calrec has appointed Helen Jones as operations manager, with the remit of ensuring the company's manufacturing and operations meet the demands of the business for quality, on-time delivery and team development.
Jones previously worked as a broadcast engineer at the company.
According to Calrec general manager Sid Stanley, Jones's appointment is an example of the company investing in its future, as well as that of its customers.
The Covid era will bring new challenges to our supply chain and the we way work, challenges that we will face head on so our customers remain unaffected. Helen's role will be to ensure that operationally we stay ahead of a fast evolving and changing business environment, combining her great knowledge of Calrec with her leadership and management experiences to take operations to the next level, added Stanley.
Peter Wharton has been named director, corporate strategy for TAG Video System's global operations.
He joins the company on a permanent basis after working as a consultant foe the last two years.
Wharton will be tasked with shaping TAG's corporate strategy by evaluating business and technical opportunities and identifying areas of growth.
Peter has an incredible grasp of emerging technologies, such as cloud-based production, and how they will impact the future of the industry, said Kevin Joyce, chief zer0 friction officer. His extraordinary capabilities have been a tremendous resource as we help our customers navigate the new normal of remote production, but they also played a crucial role in the steady growth TAG has experienced, even in this time of global uncertainty. We are thrilled that he is now a permanent member of the TAG team.
