NBA Playoffs 2026: Prime Vision, Prime Insights Offer New Data-Driven Experiences for NBA Fans

Prime Video Sports' NBA Playoffs coverage, which includes the entire SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament and select first and second-round Playoff game, will continue to leverage technology to enhance the viewing experience through fan-first features.

Beyond the interactive suite of features offered at launch including Multiview, a personalized bet tracking experience with FanDuel, Rapid Recap, Key Moments, Shop the Game, and Stats, Prime Video has steadily introduced new innovations throughout its inaugural season, including the Prime Vision alternate feed along with AI-powered proprietary broadcast enhancements called Prime Insights.

A staple of Thursday Night Football's weekly coverage since 2022, Prime Vision is a next-generation viewing experience that made its NBA on Prime debut in December. Prime Vision provides distinctive viewpoints from an above-the-rim primary camera angle alongside AI-powered innovations, on-screen graphic overlays, advanced stats, and more.

Prime Vision also serves as a laboratory for Prime Insights, many of which advance to the main broadcast. These innovations - developed through a unique collaboration between Prime Video producers, engineers, on-air analysts, AI and computer vision experts are enabled by AWS's industry-leading AI capabilities and infrastructure. They enhance Prime Video's coverage across the NFL, NASCAR, Champions League soccer, and most recently the Masters. Prime Insights highlight key athletes, illuminate hidden aspects of the game, forecast pivotal moments, and bring fans closer to the sports they love.

Prime Vision will be available for select NBA on Prime playoff games - beginning with the Play-In doubleheader tonight. Prime Insights will deliver real-time, advanced stats throughout the game, including catch-and-shoot and off-dribble three-point percentage, dribbles per shot, pace across half court, and more. In addition, Prime Insights will Identify when an offensive player has a mismatch and is in an advantageous scoring position.

NBA on Prime's inaugural postseason coverage began last night with the opening night of the Play-In Tournament and continues tonight with the Orlando Magic (8) at Philadelphia 76ers (7) at 7:30 p.m. ET, followed by the Golden State Warriors (10) at Los Angeles Clippers (9) at 10 p.m. ET. NBA on Prime Pregame, 7 p.m. ET. On Friday, Prime Video will feature the deciding double-header of the Play-In Tournament.

Prime Video will also exclusively present the first playoff games of the postseason, beginning on April 18 at 12 p.m. ET with NBA on Prime Pregame followed by Toronto Raptors vs Cleveland Cavaliers at 1 p.m. ET, Minnesota Timberwolves vs Denver Nuggets at 3:30 p.m. ET, and Atlanta Hawks vs New York Knicks at 6 p.m. ET

The NBA on Prime studio team of Blake Griffin, Udonis Haslem and Hall-of-Famer Dirk Nowitzki will provide comprehensive pregame, halftime and postgame coverage during the Play-In Tournament and Playoffs, hosted by Taylor Rooks. Player analyst Kyle Lowry will also join the desk for select shows throughout the postseason. Prime Video's SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament coverage will feature an announce team including play-by-play voices Ian Eagle, Kevin Harlan, and Michael Grady alongside analysts Brent Barry, Jim Jackson and Stan Van Gundy. Hall-of-Famers Candace Parker (game), Dwyane Wade (game) and Steve Nash (game and studio) will also return to the rotation for Prime's presentation of the NBA Playoffs.
