Congratulations Swedes and Norwegians travelling to Spain - TeliaSonera launches 4G roaming for faster mobile surfing

Swedes and Norwegians travelling to Spain can now continue using the benefits of TeliaSonera's 4G high-speed mobile surfing. Now you can find the closest tapas restaurant or the best shopping by surfing in your mobile as fast as possible!

TeliaSonera is launching 4G roaming on the Spanish market to Swedish and Norwegian customers, enabling our customers to continue use a high-speed mobile surf also on their vacation, says Allan Kock, Director of RAN Development at TeliaSonera. This functionality has been up and running only a few days and we already have thousands of users in the network.

The launch of 4G roaming in Spain now enables for example mobile surfing on-the-go for the best tapas hang-outs nearby as well as possibility to share your holiday photos with family and friends on social media with high quality and speed. The high-speed mobile surfing also facilitates for business travellers, wanting to use the same functionalities as at home during their business trip. The 4G roaming in Spain runs in TeliaSoneras's subsidiary Yoigo's network.

It is especially fun to launch this during the Mobile World Congress week, since it is taking place in Barcelona in Spain, ends Allan Kock.

TeliaSonera were first in the world to launch the high-speed mobile surfing technology 4G, which now is offered in the Nordics, Baltics and Spain. TeliaSonera were also among the first in the world to launch 4G roaming, which makes it possible to continue the usage of 4G when surfing on mobile phones and tablets, also when being abroad.

TeliaSonera's 4G roaming services have been rolled-out during 2013 in several countries on the Nordic and Baltic markets.
