The Gauge: Poland | March 2025

March shows a further downward trend of time spent watching television; following the February period when winter holidays contributed to a shorter time spent. The first month of spring traditionally brings warmer weather and a greater desire to spend time outdoors, which translates into less viewers in front of television screens. The average daily television viewing time decreased by 10 minutes (4 hours 2 minutes) compared to February 2025. The decline equally affected both traditional television and online video content.

In traditional television, viewers' attention was drawn to Polish series, news programs, and sporting events. Among streaming platforms, YouTube had the largest share of TV at 2.0% (down from 2.1% in February), and Netflix recorded a 1.9% share (also down from 2.1% in February). Streaming content viewership maintained its share of total television screen viewership at 9.3%

About The Gauge MethodologyThe data comes from Nielsen's single-source panel consisting of 3,500 households and almost 9,700 panelists. The Gauge : Poland is based on monthly AMR (Average Minute Rating) audience share data. The data is presented for people over 4 years old, broken down into cable, satellite, terrestrial television (both linear and shifted in time up to 7 days), and viewership from streaming (live streaming viewership of TV stations on OTT platforms is classified as streaming viewership). The Other category includes views of unrecognized content.
