NBA Digital, co-managed by Turner Sports and the NBA, will be home to the most expansive coverage of the 2014 NBA All-Star events in New Orleans with content spanning across a wide array of multimedia platforms. NBA TV, NBA.com and NBA Mobile will combine to deliver an immersive experience, reaching fans any way they choose to enjoy All-Star content.
NBA TV, NBA.com and NBA Mobile will combine to televise more than 140 hours of All-Star programming including live reports from New Orleans during Thursday's NBA GameTime on Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. ET. The comprehensive coverage - available across multiple devices - will include inside access to All-Star practices, interviews with players and coaches, and highlights, news and information from each of the weekend's signature events. Additionally, NBA TV will televise special editions of NBA Inside Stuff and The Starters from New Orleans.
NBA TV's extensive coverage of All-Star week will culminate with a special original programming block on Monday, Feb. 17, including an exclusive one-on-one interview with 10-time NBA All-Star and four-time league MVP LeBron James - conducted by NBA TV's Steve Smith - airing at 9 p.m. The network's Monday night lineup will also feature a special All-Star edition of Open Court: The Dunk In Depth and Defined, at 10 p.m., and The Big O, an interview with NBA legend Oscar Robertson held by NBA TV analyst Chris Webber, at 11 p.m.
NBA TV's prime-time schedule on Monday, Feb. 17:
? LeBron James: All-Star Interview at 9 p.m. ET - James, a two-time NBA champion, sits down with NBA TV's Smith to discuss his close relationship with Dwyane Wade, a trying first year in Miami which helped shape his championship mindset, and more.
? Open Court: The Dunk in Depth and Defined at 10 p.m. - NBA TV's critically acclaimed Open Court series will return with a cast of basketball greats talking about the history of the dunk and its place in the game. The panel, hosted by Sports Emmy Award winner Ernie Johnson, will feature a collection of TNT and NBA TV analysts including Hall of Famers Charles Barkley and former All-Stars Steve Kerr, Kenny Smith and Steve Smith. Additionally, Hall of Famers Julius Erving and Dominique Wilkins, along with former All-Star Tracy McGrady, will be guests on the show.
? The Big O at 11 p.m. - NBA TV's Webber sits down with NBA icon Oscar Robertson as he reflects on his storied career.
Additional NBA TV programming highlights include special All-Star episodes of NBA Inside Stuff presented by Samsung Galaxy, The Starters, NBA GameTime and The Beat.
Thursday, February 13
? Slam Dunk-A-Thon - NBA TV will air a Dunk-A-Thon Thursday, Feb. 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. The slate of events will include every Slam Dunk competition, along with a special presentation of the first Slam Dunk contest ever held (during the 1976 ABA All-Star Game).
? The Starters - From 5-6 p.m., J.E. Skeets, Tas Melas and The Starters talk hoops and give their unique take on the league heading into NBA All-Star 2014.
Friday, February 14
? NBA TV will provide an inside look as the NBA's top young players take the court during the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge practice from 10:30 a.m.-noon. The two respective squads will be led by NBA TV's Grant Hill and Webber.
? The network will televise exclusive coverage of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Announcement at noon.
? NBA GameTime will offer comprehensive coverage of American Express NBA All-Star Media Day featuring live interviews with participants from 12:30-3 p.m.
? NBA TV will air a special All-Star edition of The Beat at 5 p.m., with NBA TV's Vince Cellini, Sekou Smith and David Aldridge.
? The Starters will broadcast live from Jam Session in New Orleans at 6 p.m.
Saturday, February 15
? NBA Inside Stuff presented by Samsung Galaxy - co-hosts Grant Hill and Kristen Ledlow will sample the culture of New Orleans during the show, including Hill spending time with musician Trombone Shorty, and Ledlow interviewing New Orleans Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson. The new episode will also feature an interview with All-Star Kevin Durant at his new KD's Southern Cuisine restaurant in Oklahoma City. The show will shoot on location from some of the city's distinct landmarks as well as NBA All-Star locations including Jam Session.
? NBA TV will present exclusive coverage of Eastern and Western Conference All-Star practices from 12-2 p.m.
? The network will televise the 2013 NBA D-League All-Star Game at 3 p.m.
? NBA TV will air Commissioner Adam Silver's All-Star Press Conference at 7 p.m., prior to TNT's exclusive presentation of State Farm NBA All-Star Saturday Night.
? An All-Star edition of NBA GameTime will be televised at 11 p.m. recapping all the day's highlights, news and information.
Sunday, February 16
? NBA TV will televise a special NBA GameTime: All-Star Sunday at 5 p.m., followed by live coverage of the Sprint NBA Pregame Concert at 6 p.m.
? Following TNT's exclusive presentation of the NBA All-Star Game, NBA TV will air Inside the NBA with Johnson, Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal and Smith live from New Orleans.
