Progress Delivers Comprehensive Developer Vision from Mobile to Open Source to Digital Content Management at TelerikNEXT Industry Insights, New Product Releases, Best Practices and Roadmap Previews Outlined at First Worldwide Developer User Conference

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- (TelerikNEXT)--During the opening keynote of TelerikNEXT, its first global user conference, Telerik, a Progress company, announced several updates, including new mobile products, enhancements to its existing solutions, ongoing support for Microsoft development tooling, and new contributions to open source with NativeScript and Telerik JustDecompile .

Day one of TelerikNEXT was an atmosphere full of energy and enthusiasm from its nearly 600 attendees, as influential Progress and Telerik experts took the stage to highlight key happenings within the company and industry. Acquired by Progress in December 2014, Telerik continues to support and elevate the application development community across every facet of its business, with the release of NativeScript and Telerik Screen Builder offerings, updates to its entire product portfolio and strategic initiatives with Microsoft and Google.

Expanded Commitment to Open Source

Over the last year, Telerik made its commitment to open source known with the release of Telerik Kendo UI Core framework. The company has since expanded upon that initiative and announced this week the general availability of the much anticipated NativeScript, the JavaScript framework for developing truly native apps with JavaScript and CSS. This release fully rounds out the companys cross-platform solutions for any development approach responsive web, hybrid or native. In addition, the Telerik NativeScript framework team is collaborating with Google on early stage integrations around AngularJS 2.0.

The goal of the AngularJS team has always been to simplify developers lives, said Brad Green, Director of Engineering, Google. Telerik shares our philosophy and is known for its UI/UX capabilities. Telerik also announced that it will open source the JustDecompile engine, its .NET assembly browsing and decompiling tool. The Telerik JustDecompile engine enables developers to take an existing compiled assembly (.dll or .exe) and browse the symbols it contains to easily decompile the assembly language back to readable C#, VB and IL. The free tools core decompiling engine, popular within the 1.5 million strong Telerik developer community, has been open sourced as a means to ensure its continued, collaborative innovation and advancement.

Accelerating the Developer and Customer Evolution

Telerik introduced its latest mobility offerings with the release of Telerik Screen Builder, enabling low code development for the non-developer and expanded backend services capabilities for the enterprise architect. Telerik Screen Builder enables developers to create screens visually, connect to data and edit in real-time within Telerik AppBuilder. With latest product releases, Telerik is again rounding out its mobile offering to better enable anyone interested in building mobile apps from low code-to-no-code through the most technical deployments.

Telerik also recently released the Sitefinity Digital Experience Cloud (DEC), a modern digital marketing platform that tracks, analyzes and optimizes the customer journey. DEC tracks all customer interactions across device or digital channels and uses predictive analytics to guide marketers with personalized recommendations, including the customers best next step. The end result is an optimal customer experience and superior engagement model that drives business profitability and growth.

Microsoft Ready, Always

As a long-standing partner and Microsoft development tooling supporter, Telerik continues to advance its solutions to support all new Microsoft releases, often before theyre made available to the general public-ASP.NET 5, MVC 6, Visual Studio 2015, C# 6, Roslyn, the Edge browser, Office 365 and more are supported by the complete Telerik DevCraft toolset.

In addition, Telerik Kendo UI, the leading-edge HTML and JavaScript platform, now comes equipped with an Office 365 theme. As such, based on its long-standing relationship, Microsoft is now providing free licensing of Telerik Kendo UI tools to those who join the Office 365 developer program.

Telerik also introduced its new .NET report server for developers using the companys popular reporting product to create reports for web, mobile and desktop applications. Telerik Report Server provides a responsive web portal where developers can upload reports, manage access permissions and schedule automatic report distribution over email and print. Telerik Report Server is currently in beta and will be officially released this summer.
