Three Berklee Alumni Win 2021 Emmy Awards Sean Byrne and Jeff and Jason Lingle took home awards for their contributions to Apple TVs Ted Lasso and to HBO's Lovecraft Country, respectively.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences presented three Berklee alumni with awards for their work in music editing and sound mixing at the 73rd annual Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 19.
Sean Byrne '93 won in the Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour) and Animation category for his mixing work on the episode The Hope That Kills You from the Apple TV series Ted Lasso. This marks the second nomination and first win for the Phillipsburg, New Jersey, native, who majored in film scoring at Berklee.
Jeff Lingle '95 and Jason Lingle B.M. '99 took home Emmys in the category of Outstanding Sound Editing for a Comedy or Drama Series (One Hour) for their music editing work on the episode Sundown from HBO's Lovecraft Country. The award marks both the first nomination and win for both Jason and Jeff, who majored in professional music and in film scoring and jazz composition, respectively, as Berklee students.
Overall, 26 Berklee alumni were nominated for Emmys this year, including the history-making recognition of Mj Rodriguez '11, who was the first trans woman to be nominated in a lead acting category.
