Today our VP - Legal, Digital Safety, Patrick Corrigan shared an update highlighting the takeaways of our biannual Transparency Report for the second half of 2023. He published the article below on-platform which can also be found here.

Today we published LinkedIn's Transparency Report for the second half of 2023. The report includes government requests and our community report that shows the action we took to remove fake accounts and other content that violates our Professional Community Policies. Once again, we saw record engagement from our growing community of over one billion members, with a 33 percent increase in conversations on the platform as compared to the previous six months.

Here are a few takeaways from the report:

We removed more fake accounts compared to the previous period, 99.6 percent of which we blocked before members reported them. We continue our focused commitment to drive authentic experiences and uphold civic integrity on our platform. Since our last update, we've expanded verification features to even more countries.

We saw an overall decrease in content that violates our policies, which we attribute to enhanced defenses. We also enhanced our adult image detection defenses in private messaging, and that led to more adult content removal. We did see an increase in violent and graphic content this reporting period attributed to the various high impact events happening around the world.

In October 2023, we introduced sensitive content warnings for sensitive or graphic content that otherwise complies with our policies but contains sensitive or graphic imagery. This is just some of the work our teams are leading as we continue to invest in our proactive defenses and deploy new AI technologies to help keep LinkedIn safe, trusted, and professional.
