Ones To Watch Deadline

The Australian screen sector's premiere mentoring program Ones To Watch 2017 has extended the deadline for submissions to Monday 15 May, 5pm AEST.

Over the past fortnight, Screen Producers Australia has conducted meetings with State and Territory funding agencies across the country, to engage with emerging producers through all forms of screen production.

We're excited to announce that the deadline for submissions to the Ones To Watch 2017 program has been extended, and we would like to thank each agency that facilitated Ones To Watch information sessions this month. Based on the positive response to the program and feedback from active emerging producers, we have simplified our selection criteria for Ones To Watch applications, which are judged on a case-by-case basis and matched in a project genre basis to the most appropriate mentors.

Ones To Watch is a unique initiative designed by Screen Producers Australia to assist emerging screen professionals accelerate their projects and development in partnership with some of Australia's leading producers.

Celebrating its fifth year, Ones To Watch is a competitive entry mentor program, connecting emerging producers with a seasoned screen industry producer who will provide expert one-on-one mentoring and career guidance. The program is open to emerging producers across all screen platforms; film, television and digital, who create innovative content.

Once selected the Ones To Watch program provides successful applicants with ongoing touchpoints to the industry and unparalleled career opportunities. These include access to exclusive pitching and professional development initiatives, and opportunities at the SCREEN FOREVER 2017 conference, 14-16 November in Melbourne.

Further collaboration opportunities with agencies and broadcasters will also be announced shortly.

Our Ones To Watch alumni, who have moved through the program since its inception five years ago are an impressive group of active producers and industry professionals, Screen Producers Australia CEO, Matthew Deaner said. We are proud of the outcomes that the program has produced, both locally and across the globe and look forward to building upon this success with Australia's most promising emerging producer talents.
