PHABRIX wins another award for its Qx UHDTV test and measurement instrument Having already won Best of show and achieved the accolade of an IABM design and innovation finalist at NAB earlier in the year, the PHABRIX team were delighted to be awarded another Best of show at this year s IBC for its stand out technology,the Qx UHDTV instrument for analysis and generation.

In fact word spread so quickly that a string of manufacturers were lining up on the PHABRIX stand to connect their equipment to check against a real time' multi rate 12Gbps eye pattern with SMPTE readings. Certainly the eye technology of the Qx was akin to a high end oscilloscope display when compared to others on the Macom stand where the Qx was on display.

With the Qx's ability to measure and view rise time, fall time, overshoot and undershoot display in real-time, manufacturers have at last found a cost effective instrument for testing their devices with confidence and proving layout designs ready for manufacture. Return loss, pre-emphasis and cable distance are all key elements that manufactures need to measure. In order to accomplish this the Qx has in excess of 30 GHz analogue bandwidth on the front end' a unique feature of the Qx eye technology.

PHABRIX's other instruments were represented by the hand held SxE with eye and jitter, the multi interface portable TAG and the popular rack mount rasterizers for quality control and OB installations, the Rx2000, Rx1000 and Rx500.
