PMC, the loudspeakers of choice for many of the worlds leading studios, producers and artists, was chosen to provide the ultimate in sound quality for the Music Week Awards after party, held at the prestigious Tape London.
Music Weeks Awards is the event for the music industry, with awards presented to the record labels, publishing, live, retail, A&R, radio, marketing and PR functions. As is befitting for such a respected event, the official After Show Party is being staged in Londons most exalted venue, Tape London, which is also a Platinum Partner with Music Week. Tape is the recent winner of Best Club at the London Bar and Club Awards in addition to Best Late Venue at the World Lifestyle Awards. Tape prides itself on offering an elegant party experience for its elite, global crowd, which has included the likes of Will.I.Am, Justin Bieber, Mick Jagger, Rita Ora, Ellie Goulding, Lewis Hamilton and many others. Tape also regularly hosts performances by some of the biggest artists in the world, including Lady Gaga, Drake, Rudimental, Puff Daddy, The Weeknd, Wiz Khalifa, John Legend and Travis Scott.
For such an event, with many of the leading figures from the international music industry present, the partners of Tape London needed to use the very best playback system and so approached PMC to request its world-famous BB5 XBD Active monitors. Specified as the reference monitors in the worlds leading recording studios, the BB5 XBDs offer an insight into the recordings that no other speakers can match. Their twin 15 RadialTM bass drivers, partnered with PMCs legendary 75mm dome midrange, presents absolute clarity and accuracy in the midrange, together with a high performance PMC 34mm tweeter. The BB5 XBD provides the biggest and most demanding names in music production with all they need in a speaker system.
For the Tape London event, PMC augmented the BB5s with two extra XBD cabinets, which features a further 15 Radial driver each, providing a bass extension and presence that is unsurpassed.
