SEP 2024 / PAG launches new MPL150 Battery at IBC24

PAG Ltd. UK, the creator of innovative, high-end portable power systems for the film and television industry, has announced the introduction of the new MPL150 battery, an addition to its Mini PAGlink range of smaller, lighter, intelligent linking batteries.

The MPL150 is a 14.8V 10Ah 150Wh battery available in V-Mount and Gold Mount formats. It is extremely versatile when it comes to powering cameras, production accessories and personal devices. No other broadcast/cinema camera battery boasts as many output options. It features built-in USB type C for 5V, 9V or 12V accessories, which provides up to 30W; USB-A 5V 2.4A, and D-Tap for 12V accessories (unregulated). In addition, it has a plug-in USB type C PD 36W output unit, which can be swapped for other output unit options that include Hirose, Lemo and 2.1-2.5mm DC (available separately).

The MPL150 can be linked with other MPL batteries, of any rated capacity, for discharge or charging. Linking batteries enables you to control the capacity and the weight of your power source to suit the application. Battery capacities are combined which provides longer run-time, or an increased current draw of up to 12A. Batteries can be added or hot-swapped to ensure continuous shooting. Simultaneous discharge prolongs overall battery life and provides a better return on investment.

The MPL150 has a robust construction with impact-protection features designed to endure the harshest working conditions. It features a 2-year warranty, with no limit on the number of cycles during that period.

PAG's modular battery design enables the replacement of an expired cell-pack by authorised, local service centres, whilst maintaining the battery's flight-safety credentials. Case parts and electronic modules can be reused, reducing e-waste for greater sustainability as well as reducing the cost of your next battery.
