SMT Expands LED Production and Scoring Services at 2026 Cincinnati Open

SMT is expanding its technology partnership with the Cincinnati Open this year, adding new LED displays, production capabilities, and fan-facing experiences at the Lindner Family Tennis Center. SMT's relationship with the tournament spans more than 30 years.

The deployment now includes 106 LED displays and more than 50 million LED pixels across the tournament grounds. SMT's scoring network supports official scoring and data distribution across all 10 match courts in conjunction with the ATP and WTA Tours. The installation requires more than 30 consecutive days onsite from setup through breakdown.

New for 2026, SMT is adding a 130-foot-wide curved LED ribbon display wrapping the northeast exterior Stadium concourse, delivering live scores, match updates, sponsor messaging, and event promotions. A new 27.5-by-16.5-foot LED Monster Board will serve as the centerpiece of the Kroger Fan Zone Indoor Courts, powered by SMT's production platform and operated by a dedicated production specialist. Two custom LED displays will flank the Grandstand player tunnel, featuring player introductions and tournament content, with a hinge design allowing them to swing open for player and equipment access. A new LED display above the Grandstand player entrance tunnel extends the visual treatment used at other venue gates. A display adjacent to the Tennis Channel Studio will show live programming when the studio is on air, and transition to SMT's Match Update Center between broadcasts.

The new Stadium outer concourse ribbon and Kroger Fan Zone Board are both great examples, giving us dynamic platforms to share live scoring, tournament information, sponsor content and timely messaging with fans throughout the venue.

SMT's core scoring and data services include official scoring across all 10 courts; a proprietary Serve Speed System capturing and distributing serve-speed data in real time; graphical content for serve clocks in compliance with ATP/WTA regulations; an automated Digital Draw Display; and automated outer-court scoreboard displays.

Production services cover live content across Center Court, Grandstand, Stadium 3, and Champions Court. SMT also operates the Pavilion and Indoor Monster Boards, a fully automated Court Channel across fan destination areas, and a venue-wide CCTV system distributing up to 21 unique HD channels.

Behind-the-scenes services include a web-based practice court scheduling system integrated into the SMT scoring network, and a tailored production package for the men's and women's 128-player draws.
