Object Matrix Does the Double at NAB! We are now only just over a week away from our annual migration to Las Vegas Nevada for the National Association of Broadcasters conference and show, better known as NAB! This year myself, Jon, Mark and first time NABer Gavin will be in available to chat in the South Hall where we have doubled the size of the Object Matrix stand(booth) and will also have a presence, for the first time, on a partner booth (stand) at the show.

We have some exciting things to talk about, some cool things to show and some futures to divulge:

Automated workflows for seamlessly sending content from the nearline platform to LTO storage. Based on policies and business rules this automation support includes the ability for applications integrated with the MatrixStore API to check and update the status of clips no matter if they are available on disk or tape.

Object Matrix is opening up its lesser known Management API which has been requested by integrators, Object Matrix partners and more importantly customers who have their own in-house management tools. This will allow 3rd party applications to create MatrixStore vaults and users whilst also providing access to monitoring, statistical and audit information.

Object Matrix's archive plug-in InterConnect, developed to work with Avid Interplay and used by broadcasters across Europe, is being enhanced to take full advantage of the automated move to tape option described above.

We will also have our very good pals from Portugal and Sweden on our booth. Vidispine and Cantemo are taking the world by storm with their elegant and scalable MAM platforms whilst Glookast are developing some very exciting automated file based ingest workflows. NAB is an experience to behold and there are some great blogs (Nice one from Walter here) out there advising on how to survive the show and get the best of your time in Vegas.
