Rachel Riley to become My Famous Babysitter for W

LONDON - Friday 24th May, 2019: Rachel Riley is the first star name to join My Famous Babysitter (4x60), the newest factual entertainment commission for UKTVs premium entertainment channel W. Produced by Swan Films, in each episode a celebrity shock-tests the reality of twenty-first century parenting by taking full responsibility for a family of children over four days.

The collision of the rarefied and high profile lives of the modern celebrity with the stark reality of managing food budgets, supervising homework, after-school clubs and the general domestic drudgery of running a household in Britain today will provide the opportunity for some entertaining, humorous and often poignant reflections from the celebrities on their life and own childhood.

Rachel Riley said,

Im really up for the babysitter challenge: Im sure theyll teach me a lot. Im scared and excited in equal measure!

My Famous Babysitter is commissioned for UKTV by Kirsty Hanson, commissioning editor with Hilary Rosen, head of factual and fact ent, and ordered by Richard Watsham, director of commissioning and Steve North, genre general manager for comedy and entertainment. The series is executive produced for Swan Films by Neil Crombie and Joe Evans.

My Famous Babysitter is the latest UKTV Original bringing star names to Win 2019, following Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over, the new series of Emma Willis: Delivering Babies, Dr Christians Special Clinics, and the scripted commission Flack, starring Anna Paquin and Sophie Okonedo. Theres more real life programming too, with Ski A&E and the latest addition to the popular Inside the... family, Inside The Operating Theatre.

My Famous Babysitter comes to W later this year. More details about the series will be announced shortly.
