Lagard re Travel Retail opens a new Aelia Duty Free shop at Cagliari airport
Lagard re Travel Retail is pleased to announce that a new Aelia Duty Free Shop store opened on July 1, 2020 at the Cagliari Elmas airport in the area immediately following the security checks.
With a total area of about 200 square meters and dedicated staff, the Aelia Duty Free Shop store at Cagliari airport is the twentieth to open in Italy, after those already present in the airports of Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino, Venice, Treviso, Trieste, Brindisi and Palermo.
The Aelia Duty Free Shop concept is the flagship format of the international Lagard re Travel Retail group and was designed to offer travelers a shopping experience made of authenticity, refinement and customer care. The selection of products on sale includes local and international items of the highest quality, exclusive travel memories and a vast choice among the most prestigious brands of perfumery and international wine & spirit. The most innovative payment methods are also activated.
Of course, all the safety and distancing indications to protect the sales staff and customers according to the anti-Covid-19 regulation have been scrupulously followed.

SOGAER, which has managed Cagliari Airport since 1992, strives daily to guarantee airport services at the highest levels of quality and safety, to plan the growth of airport structures and facilities and to encourage the development of economic activities both inside the airport and in the area. . After obtaining total management of the Cagliari airport in 2007 for 40 years, SOGAER was granted the ENAC approval for the program contract in 2012. Since 2016, SOGAER has participated in the Airport Carbon Accreditation , an independent and voluntary program that aims at the progressive reduction of CO2 emissions in the airport area. The company management is currently engaged in expanding the flight network and in carrying out important infrastructure works that will significantly improve the comfort and efficiency of the airport.
The Mario Mameli airport of Cagliari-Elmas is the most important airport in Sardinia both in terms of traffic volumes and size. In 2019 passenger traffic amounted to 4,739,077 units, while aircraft traffic reached 34,921 movements. Cagliari is currently connected with direct scheduled flights to the main European and national destinations.
