Sommer cable GmbH is pleased to announce the succession in the management team. On October 1st, 2024, Maximilian Blanck and Marie-Kathrin Huber will join the management of the Straubenhardt-based company. They will succeed Friedhelm Sommer, the co-founder and long-standing Managing Director, who is taking his well-deserved retirement.

As the children of Rainer Blanck, the co-founder and CEO of Sommer cable, both have had a direct relation to the company since their childhood. Among other things, Maximilian developed the SYSBOXX configurator, which is highly estimated by customers, in the course of his studies. Since October 2023, he has been supporting Sommer cables entrepreneurship, sales and product management as well as the IT management and was co-responsible for the new website of the companys online shop. Thanks to his masters degree in information management at the KIT in Karlsruhe and his experience gained at an IT project house, he contributes valuable talents and knowledge that will help Sommer cable to perfectly set up for future challenges, especially in the digital domain. For he is very familiar with terms such as machine learning, AI and IoT.

Marie-Kathrin Huber (n e Blanck) also joined the company in August 2023. Owing to her international studies (M.A.) and her many years of experience in the cultural sector, she brings in a lot of creativity as well as high organizational skills. These talents form an ideal basis for her activities in management, but also in the HR department as well as in marketing and sales, notably in the digital world and the field of social media.

Their joining to the management team underlines the continuity, foresight and family tradition that have characterized the company since its foundation, says owner Rainer Blanck who will remain CEO. The two authorized signatories Andreas Bauer and Pascal Miguet will also remain in place.

Friedhelm Sommer who founded the company over 25 years ago together with Rainer Blanck can look back on a successful company history. Under the leadership of the two managing directors, Sommer cable has developed from a small business into an internationally recognized medium-sized company known for its quality and innovative capacity. This year, the company celebrated its 25th anniversary. Heres to the next few years and a new generation with Simply good vibes .

The management team at the partner company SOMMER-TECHNIK is also bound for rejuvenation. Maximilian Blanck will be appointed as an additional managing director and Cedrik Haenel as an authorized signatory alongside Bernd Heise, also with effect from 01.10.2024.
