Muvhango actor Tebatso Mashishi, who plays the character of Kgosi Mukwevho in the SABC2 soapie was reportedly arrested for theft after his ex-girlfriend and Durban Gen actress Nanamhla Dalisile opened a case of theft against him.

MUVHANGO': TEBATSO MASHISHI ARRESTED Sunday World reported that the Muvhango actor Tebatso Mashishi was arrested after actress Nanamhla Dalisile accused him of stealing her laptop and smart cellphone from her Randburg apartment on Wednesday last week. Mashisi who plays the role of Kgosi and Dalisile were lovers and broke up this year.

The actress told the publication that Mashishi came to her apartment in Randburg to fetch the clothes she mistakenly packed into her suitcase before she vacated the apartment, they shared in Parktown, north of Joburg.

When I was unpacking my clothes from the suitcase, I realised that I had packed his clothes in it by mistake. I called him and told him that I had taken his clothes by mistake and that he should come and take them. He told me that he would come and take them because he too has been looking for them for a while.

Dalisile said Mashishi phoned her on Wednesday and asked her if he could come and collect his clothes.

I told him that I'm no longer staying in Tembisa but in my new apartment in Randburg and I sent him the location to come.

The actress says she was rushing out to the gym when Mashishi arrived at her house.

I told him to check the clothes in the wardrobe and just close the door before he could leave as I was rushing out to the gym. He agreed and I left him in there.

Dalisile alleged that when she returned to her pad, she discovered her cellphone and laptop were missing and the actor repeatedly hung up on her and blocked her when she reached out.

NANAMHLA DALISILE OPENS A CASE OF THEFT The actress also said she went to the Douglasdale Police Station and opened a case of theft against him.

The case was later transferred to Fairland Police Station for investigation because my area falls under its jurisdiction. I know them because he needed them. He has a lot of money; he can afford them. He took them because he just wants to punish me for dumping him, she said.

Gauteng Provincial Police Spokesperson Mavela Masondo confirmed that Mashishi was arrested for theft and will appear in court soon.
