Armenian TV channels bet on telenovelas from Globo

Hidden Truths', Rules of the Game', Boogie Oogie' and Parts of Me' have just been licensed by two of the main TV channels in Armenia. Full of secrets and betrayals, Hidden Truths' and Rules of the Game' are the new bets of Armenia TV and should debut in the months of June and September on the channel's Prime Time. Boogie Oogie and Parts of Me' will be aired during the afternoon, by the Public TV, in July and September. In addition to Armenia, the two channels will also air in the United States, aimed towards the Armenian community in the country. These four productions are part of Globo's flagships for Natpe Budapest 2016.

Hits on Armenia TV

Considered the largest open channel in the country, Armenia TV has already aired productions such as Helenas Shadow', Brave Woman' and Brazil Avenue', Globo's Prime Time hits, with intense and dynamic stories that won the country's audience.

The channel is now betting on Hidden Truths', which explores the boundaries between obsession, money and pleasure, using the fashion scene as backdrop. The story is about Arlete, a teenager who dreams of becoming a model, engages in a prostitution ring and meets Alex (Rodrigo Lombardi, India - A Love story'), a powerful and obsessive businessman. In an extreme action, he marries the girl's mother just to be closer to her. While it aired in Brazil, Hidden Truths' reached 49% of share.

Rules of the Game, another telenovela chosen by Armenia TV, talks about the fine line between good and evil. Its main character, Romero R mulo (Alexandre Nero from Empire'), is a shady former politician who, despite being regarded as a people's hero, works for a powerful criminal group. Constantly crossing the border between right and wrong, Romero is involved with humble T ia (Vanessa Gi como from Empire') and with ambitious Atena (Giovana Antonelli from Brave Woman'), who falls in love with Romero and is capable of anything to defend him.

Love stories on Public TV

Public TV, Globo's partner since 2013, invests in lighter productions that have also thrilled viewers. The Life We Lead' and Precious Pearl', which was the winner of the 2014 International Emmy awards, are on the list of telenovelas that have aired on the channel, which now bets on the new hits Boogie Oogie and Parts of Me'.

The telenovela Boogie Oogie' is set in Rio de Janeiro during the disco era (the 70's) and depicts the meeting between humble and hardworking Sandra (Isis Valverde from Brazil Avenue') and rich and spoiled Vit ria (Bianca Bin from Precious Pearl'). Both women meet because of a tragic accident and start fighting for the love of the same man. What they don't know is that their paths have crossed before, when they were switched at birth - a secret that can change the lives of everyone in the story. With a classic love story, Boogie Oogie was a great hit in Brazil, reaching 17 million viewers.

Parts of Me' tells the story of Miguel (Domingos Montagner from Precious Pearl'), a lonely and elusive man who, after escaping a past tragedy, travels back home to find out he is the father of seven children. Miguel begins to seek his children's affection and respect and attempts to win back his true love. The telenovela is written by L cia Manzo, author of The Life We Lead', which is currently being aired in Costa Rica, as well. While it aired in Brazil, the sensitive story of Parts of Me' won the audience and scored a share of 41% on Access Prime Time, reaching almost 20 million viewers (source: Ibope).
