Triggerfish Animation Studios Signs with WME
Cape Town-based Triggerfish Animation Studios has signed with entertainment and media agency WME for representation in all areas. WME will partner with the independent studio in developing five new feature film projects, and will additionally support their creation of high-quality content targeted specifically at the African continent.
Known for producing the animated features Adventures in Zambezia, starring Jeremy Suarez, Abigail Breslin and Samuel L. Jackson, and Khumba, starring Jake T. Austin, AnnaSophia Robb and Liam Neeson, Triggerfish is currently in development on their third feature, Sea Monster, which will be released in 2016. The studio previously produced animation for pre-school giant Sesame Workshop for several seasons of US domestic, international and South African versions of Sesame Street.

Triggerfish CEO Stuart Forrest and CFO Jean-Michel Koenig recently returned from Los Angeles where they met extensively with studio executives, producers, writers and financiers introduced by WME.
