The long wait is over. Soapie viewers are already counting down to the debut of Noluthando Meje and Menzi Nxumalo on SABC's most watched drama series, Uzalo.

Last month entertainment blogger Phil Mphela took to Twitter to announce the addition of the duo and revealed their debuts are set for May.

NOLUTHANDO MEJE AND MENZI NXUMALO JOIN UZALO Against the backdrop of his post, viewers have been counting down the days.

Meje and Nxumalo are set to ruffle feathers in KwaMashu as investigation unit detectives.

Seasoned actress Meje will star as Zola, a bubbly investigations unit detective, married to her job and obsessed with getting results.

However, while wrapping up a money laundering investigation at KwaNjomane, Meje will step on Mondli's toes which will come with its consequences.

On the other hand, Menzi Nxumalo will star as Thalente Bhengu. He will be an investigations unit officer stationed in KwaMashu.

Bhengu will be calling the shots in an attempt to eliminate crime in KwaMashu.

Will he be able to bring the town to order?

RISE TO FAME No doubt Nxumalo has been winning big of late thanks to his unmatched acting flair. He has fast become a small screen darling.

He has wowed viewers with his on-screen character on the e.tv drama series Durban Gen and Imbewu: The Seed.

On the other hand, Noluthando Meje's years-long career has seen her playing lead roles in big-budget drama series.
