On March 7, When Life Gives You Tangerines invites viewers on a vibrant journey through the four seasons of life. The newly released key art and date announcement trailer offer a sneak peek into this much-anticipated drama series, which follows the adventures of Ae-sun, "the remarkable rebel," and Gwan-sik, nicknamed "unyielding iron," through four vibrant seasons on Jeju Island.
Created by renowned director Kim Won-suk (Misaeng: Incomplete Life, My Mister) and versatile screenwriter Lim Sang-choon (When the Camellia Blooms, Fight for My Way), the series features a stellar cast including IU, Park Bo-gum, Moon So-ri, Park Hae-joon and more.
The date announcement key art captures Ae-sun, played by IU (Persona, Hotel del Luna, My Mister) and Gwan-sik, played by Park Bo-gum (Wonderland, Reply 1988, Encounter) holding hands in a vibrant canola flower field. Dressed in school uniforms and tracksuits, they exude a refreshing vibe reminiscent of spring, hinting at the start of their life journeys together. While Ae-sun smiles confidently, Gwan-sik appears stiff and nervous, sparking curiosity about their dynamic.
The date announcement trailer features lively, refreshing music and the scenic beauty of Jeju Island, complete with canola fields, persimmon trees, and the sea. Ae-sun and Gwan-sik, like any young couple, share tender moments and playful arguments, showcasing the heart-fluttering chemistry between IU and Park Bo-gum. When Life Gives You Tangerines promises to bring warmth to your spring days with its authentic, relatable stories that reflect the different stages of life throughout the seasons.
