En la presente edici n de los Premios Rory Peck 2019, Sony ha otorgado a Martin Boudot And Mathias Denizo el Premio Sony Impact en la categor a de Actualidad por su trabajo Paraguay: Poisoned Fields (Paraguay: campos envenenados). El premio reconoce el trabajo de los operadores de c mara independientes que analizan un tema, una historia o una situaci n que ejerce un impacto en los espectadores, la pol tica o la concienciaci n p blica.
Martin, periodista de investigaci n y realizador de documentales, form equipo con Mathias, director de fotograf a, para explorar las t xicas realidades de los campos de soja de Paraguay en una cinta que combina la ciencia y el periodismo de investigaci n. En este estudio por encargo de France 5 y realizado en estrecha colaboraci n con cient ficos paraguayos, Boudot y Denizo exploran el da o gen tico que padecen los ni os que han estado expuestos a pesticidas, mediante el an lisis de muestras de soja, tierra y agua para rastrear la contaminaci n hasta su origen.
La investigaci n atrajo la atenci n de los principales medios de Sudam rica, y catapult el debate a la palestra nacional al llegar hasta el senado paraguayo.
