On demand TV service YouView today signals its continued success and growth by announcing a major recruitment drive that will expand its technology team by well over 50%.
In the next 12 months, YouView will add more than 50 of the best developers, test engineers and project managers to its workforce in roles that will spearhead the next stages of pioneering connected TV development.
The recruitment drive kicks off this weekend with a YouView stand at the Silicon Milkroundabout, a technology recruitment fair running on 10-11 May at The Old Truman Brewery in London. More information is available at: www.siliconmilkroundabout.com.
YouView is now in over 1 million connected UK homes offering a seamless and easy to use catch up and on demand TV service with pause, rewind and record functionality.
With guaranteed funding for the next five years from all seven shareholders, which include the BBC ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, BT, TalkTalk and Arqiva, the company is looking to the future and ensuring it remains at the cutting-edge of television technology.
The new recruits will work with technology including IP-delivered video, HTML5 and cloud-based services across a wide range of devices, in a fast-paced environment at the forefront of the UK TV industry.
