TOKYO (April 8, 2026) - Dolby Laboratories (NYSE: DLB), a leader in immersive entertainment experiences, today announced that Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway, the latest installment in the beloved Detective Conan franchise, will be released in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos at Dolby Cinema locations in Japan on April 10, 2026. The film marks a milestone as the first production produced at TOHO Studios' newly established post-production facility - Japan's first to support both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos in a single location.

Upon its release this Friday Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway will arrive at Dolby Cinemas across Japan in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, including the new site at TOHO Cinemas Oimachi, enveloping moviegoers with unprecedented immersion with stunning visuals and captivating sound like never before. Leveraging the subtle details and ultra-vivid colors of Dolby Vision and the lifelike, immersive sound of Dolby Atmos, filmmakers are able to bring their visions to life by fully capturing their artistic imagination and pushing the boundaries of their art forward.

Bringing the Detective Conan Universe to Life with Greater Immersion

In Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway, the franchise's signature large-scale action and suspense are brought to life with enhanced realism through Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

In the powerful motorcycle action scenes that race across Japan, Dolby Vision's exceptional contrast and color performance vividly captures details ranging from glittering night cityscapes to the piercing glare of oncoming headlights. At the same time, Dolby Atmos creates a multidimensional soundscape where the roar of engines, screeching tires, and environmental effects move dynamically throughout the auditorium, transporting audiences right inside the action.

Dolby Cinema Opens at TOHO Cinemas Oimachi

As the newest Dolby Cinema site in Japan, TOHO Cinemas Oimachi, which opened on March 28, is part of the large mixed-use development OIMACHI TRACKS and features eight screens with Dolby Cinema as the largest auditorium.

A premium offering for moviegoers, Dolby Cinema combines Dolby Vision imaging and Dolby Atmos sound with inspired cinema design to create a fully immersive moviegoing experience. The signature Dolby Cinema design is created to draw audiences deeper into the story.
