It is written, Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. What a profound truth! A realization that eases the grip of life on man surrendering to God in all things. Partake in this feast as we consume food for the soul, nourishing the spirit in Breaking Bread. It is Monday, 4th July 2022.

BIBLE VERSE: 1 John 4:16 16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

We can define unconditional love as love without strings attached.

God loves us without any strings attached. He loves us freely. God does not want anything in return for what He does for us. No, His love fills us with hope for the future and He promised us eternal life for those who believe in Him. The term unconditional love of God in Christianity further means that God loves a person irrespective if that person does not love God.

We must remember that God does not choose to love or give love. No, love is the nature of God. God is love. Maybe we know in our minds that God loves us, but do we really believe it? His love for us is free-of-charge'' and we just need to accept it.

When God gives us His love and we feel it, it lightens us up and motivates us to live a daily life full of love for ourselves and our fellow human beings. The Apostle Paul in the Bible calls love the greatest gift of all because it is the core of the Gospel. Love reflects the truth of our faith and the certainty of our hope.

PRAYER Lord, we pray to bless us with your unconditional love. Thank you that You have given us your love although we are sinners and do not deserve it.

Help us to love ourselves because you have created us but also to love our fellow brothers and sisters. Help us to turn away from hatred but to love You as You had loved us first by sending your only Son Jesus to die for our sins on the cross. Amen.

God het ons lief sonder enige voorwaardes. Hy het ons vrylik lief. God wil niks terug h vir wat Hy vir ons doen nie. Nee, sy liefde vul ons met hoop vir die toekoms en Hy het ons die ewige lewe belowe vir die wat in Hom glo. Die term onvoorwaardelike liefde van God in die Christendom beteken verder dat God n persoon liefhet, ongeag of daardie persoon God liefhet of nie.

Ons moet onthou dat God nie kies om lief te h of liefde te gee nie. Nee, liefde is die natuur van God. God is liefde. Miskien weet ons in ons gedagtes dat God ons liefhet, maar glo ons dit regtig? Sy liefde vir ons is gratis en ons moet dit net aanvaar.

Wanneer God vir ons Sy liefde gee en ons dit voel, verlig dit ons en motiveer ons om n daaglikse lewe vol liefde vir onsself en ons medemens te leef. Die apostel Paulus in die Bybel noem liefde die grootste gawe van almal, want dit is die kern van die Evangelie. Liefde weerspie l die waarheid van ons geloof en die sekerheid van ons hoop.

GEBED Here, ons bid om ons te se n met u onvoorwaardelike liefde. Dankie dat U vir ons u liefde gee alhoewel ons sondaars is en dit nie verdien nie. Help ons om onsself lief te h omdat U ons geskep het, maar ook om ons medebroers en susters lief te h . Help ons om weg te draai van haat, maar om U lief te h soos U ons eerste liefgehad het deur u enigste Seun Jesus te stuur om vir ons sondes aan die kruis te sterf. Amen.
