Samsung Galaxy S4 Active Receives Official Stamp of Approval from Mums with a Mumsnet Best Award on Dec 10, 2013 Mumsnet users selected to find out if Samsung's latest smartphone is the ultimate childproof phone

Samsung UK has today announced that its popular smartphone, the Galaxy S4 Active, has been awarded a Mumsnet Best Award for Smartphones. To find out if the Galaxy S4 Active is the ultimate childproof phone, Samsung worked with Mumsnet to put the phone through its paces. After recruiting twenty trusted Mumsnet users to review the Galaxy S4 Active and test it in a series of real life family challenges, the phone was given the official stamp of approval.

Lucky Mumsnet candidates were asked to review the handset over a two week period and write about their first impressions, preferred features, and the look and feel of the phone, via a thread on Mumsnet. Designed to survive the pitfalls of everyday life with a child, the Galaxy S4's waterproof and shockproof features, high quality 5.0'' full HD display and the Air View' and Air Gesture' motion features all proved extremely popular with Mums (and children).

Carol Wright, Mumsnet user said: I liked the fact that it was marketed as being whatever proof -I have 3 children the youngest a very energetic 2 year old, so having something that is wipe clean, waterproof and robust if it gets dropped was very appealing.

Rachel Hardy, Mumsnet user said: I like that its tougher than the average smartphone. Im not frightened to let the children have a go on it.

Emma Connolly, Mumsnet user said: I can report today that phone has survived a body slam from ds1*! He was toddling about pretending to talk into it, slipped and fell, slamming phone screen down onto floor to break his fall. Heart was in my mouth as Ive no case or screen protector yet but all is perfectly fine. Well done Samsung!

Rebekah Sharpe, Mumsnet user said: The camera is really good - I took it out on a family walk and we got caught in a downpour. I was able to carry on taking pictures in the rain without worrying. I love that you can take a picture by saying cheese or smile.
